Weekly Challenge #60
from the Diva this week is to use JUST two tangles - Cirquital and Munchin - in one tile. So here is my offering (my first since becoming a CZT, yeay!). I spent a wonderful 4 days last week in Providence, RI with 70+ other future CZT's and am SO grateful to Maria, Rick, their family and staff for their generosity, inspiration and support; also the welcoming of the rest of the CZT community.

Last week I spent four incredible days in a Zentangle® seminar in Providence, Rhode Island, and now I'm a "CZT 8" (Certified Zentangle Teacher). I met some wonderful people including the founders of Zentangle, Maria and Rick, who are so generous and soulful. I have lots of ideas for workshops / classes and can't wait to get started! This is truly an amazing artform.

Workshop:  Exploring hand-built pottery
There are so many more ways to make pottery besides throwing clay on the wheel.  In fact, using our hands as our main tool opens up endless creative directions.  Pinch pots are wonderful, intimate vessels that reveal the mark of their maker. Slab built plates are sleek and sophisticated and offer a new "canvas" for decorative work.  And coils are not just for making ashtrays!
Starting with white or brown earthenware and colorful, low-fire, lead-free glazes, come explore the possibilities with Mary at ClayMates.
